JISC Advance FE and Skills Project Funding: The national picture

The Call (2) ….• This call is designed for providers and practitioners in the FE and Skills sector where they wish to use technology to support your national strategy and priorities and; – a. Enhance student experience – b. Improve efficiency and effectiveness of their organisation – c. Enhance organisational capability to meet the new requirements envisaged in policy and funding• Providers will include those from: Adult and Community Learning, Work-based Learning, Offender Learning, Independent Specialist Colleges, Further Education Colleges and Sixth Form Colleges and the programme activities are intended to cover the full range of their work.

The Call (3)….• £1.35 million split (roughly) into: – £900,000 for Large Scale (£90k +) projects • Set aside for projects designed to meet national objectives – £450,000 for 40(ish) smaller projects • Set aside for the repurposing and contextualisation of existing resources, or development of new ones if requirement can be satisfactorily evidenced

The Call(4)….• Project bids incorporating joint activities with JISC Advance and JISC services to update existing resources or meet needs not currently met, will be welcome.• The programme funding will be supported by the JISC Regional Support Centres (RSCs) who will provide advice and support for providers in developing and implementing their projects.• “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for the FE and Skills sector and JISC Advance is proud to be leading the project. Not only will it enhance the learner experience, but it will also improve the efficiency and effectiveness of providers, a challenge which everyone is currently facing.”
