What is EPICT?EPICT is a NVQ style programme which usespractical evidenceThis is not a sit-down-and-listen-while-I-tell-you-about- problem-based-learning-and-active-involvement-of-the-students.-Then-go-home-and-do-exactly-what-you-have-always-done kind of course.We want EPICT to have an impact!EPICT differs from ICT qualifications staff may have worked towards in the past(such as ECDL) in that it is directed specifically towards ICT in teaching andlearning.It does not involve learning technologies that the teacher, will never need. Putsimply if the teacher uses technology as a part of teaching and learning, haslesson plans and reflects on their lessons then they have the materials in placefor EPICT modules.
