    • DESCRIPTION The project is a public park on South Park Block 5 in the heart of Downtown Portland, a former parking lot gifted to the city by Tom Moyer. The site is situated over underground parking that expands the existing Fox Tower parking. The studio objective was to create public space unlike any other in the Downtown area. The project was to compliment the character of the other open spaces nearby (Pioneer Courthouse Square, and the surrounding building uses. The studio was tied to a separate master plan- ning effort from another class. The PDX Amp Lot plays the roll of one of the ‘Catalyst’ devel- opments in the accompanying urban scheme.
