  • 1. I WISH ( ÓJALA ) I wish + sujeto + past ( to express we would like things to be different in the present ). Eg; * I wish I didn't have to work in July. *I wish you were here. *He wishes he were famous. *I wish there weren't so many problems in the world.
  • 2. wish+ subject +would/could Use: when we want to complain about a situation or things people do repeatedly.( we want something different to happen). Eg: -I wish it would stop raining. -I wish my staff would get to work on time. -I wish you would give up smoking TIP don't use I wish I would
  • 3. wish+subject+past perfect ( ójala+suj.+hubiera/ hubiese...) Use : To express regret that something happened or didn't happen in the past. Eg:*I wish I had studied harder. *He wishes he hadn't eaten so much. *I wish your flight hadn't been delayed *I wish you hadn't abandoned me.
