  • 1. Multimedia Speech<br />Part TWO of your Senior Project<br />
  • 2. Requirements<br />At least FIVE minutes long<br />No longer than TEN minutes<br />Should present the information gathered in your Research Paper<br />You may change your topic (NOT RECOMMENDED), but you MUST CLEAR IT WITH ME first<br />
  • 3. Requirements<br />Must integrate PowerPoint, PowerPoint Live, OpenOffice, orGoogle Docs Presentation slides into the speech<br />At least six slides that highlight or illuminate the key points of your speech<br />You must turn in a complete copy of your presentation or share it on the web before you will get credit for the speech.<br />
  • 4. Oral Presentation<br />Should be interesting, well-rehearsed with smooth delivery that holds audience attention. <br />Points will be deducted for reading off the projection screen.<br />Eye contact, volume, elocution, posture, and other traditional speech conventions will be part of the grade.<br />
  • 5. Organization<br />Content should be well organized using headings or bulleted lists to group related material. <br />Text on the screen should be minimal. Do not put information on the screen that you will simply orally regurgitate.<br />
  • 6. Content<br />Should cover topic in-depth with details and examples. <br />Subject knowledge should be excellent. <br />
  • 7. Mechanics<br />There should be no misspellings or grammatical errors. <br />Attribution should appear on the presentation (MLA style) in the notes section (not visible to the audience) or as a final works cited page (visible to the audience).<br />Doesn’t go toward slide count<br />
  • 8. Attractiveness<br />Should make excellent use of font, color, graphics, effects, etc. to enhance to presentation. <br />Effects should notdetract from thepresentation<br />
  • 9. Grading<br />160 Points<br />A graduation requirement – must pass to graduate<br />
  • 10. Due Date<br />Speeches will begin tentativelyMARCH 7th<br />Order will be determined on a day by day basis.<br />will go on the third nine weeks marking period<br />
