The Pythagorean theorem
• A2 + B2 = C2 The variables that are
  here represent the numbers on
  the sides of the triangle but side C
  is always the hypotenuse . You
  always have to use a right triangle.

   B2 = 135
   B=12
Distance Formula
The distance formula is a
 formula that let’s you
 find the point in the y-
 axis and the x-axis
 minus both X from
 each other then minus
 both Y from each
 other. Then perform
 the Pythagorean
 theorem .
Distance formula example (11,2) (7,5)
c= (11-7)2 + (2-5)2
  42 + -32
  16+ 9
  25
  5
