Goal 1 <ul><li>All students will have equal opportunity to meat standards set for in Technology TEKS </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Objective 1 addresses Grades K-8 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Objective 2 addresses Grades 9-12 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Each provides strategies for District Leadership, Administrators, and Teachers to ensure goals are met </li></ul></ul></ul>

Goal 2 <ul><li>The District will provide trained personnel for the effective implementation of instructional technology. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Broken down into 3 Objectives. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Each Objective more specific as to types of training and how to be used. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>All teachers and staff will have training to master technology provided by CCISD. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Please note this section also states the district will provide evening and Saturday training for staff and parents to utilize eChalk and other district wide management systems. </li></ul></ul>

Goal 3 <ul><li>The District will provide staff and students proper hardware and software to complete District Technology Plan. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>3 objectives with several strategies for fulfilling listed in each. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Note: Objective three is in relation to test pilot program and does not have funding yet. </li></ul></ul>

Provides staff development opportunities to all teachers, staff, and advanced training for Technology Department training staff. </li></ul></ul>

Goal 5 <ul><li>Goal 5 states: “ The District will effectively utilize Distributed Learning Technologies to impact learning. ” </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Broken into 3 objectives with several strategies to fulfill each. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Ensures the district makes use of distance education and 24/7 online access to parents, teachers, students, and staff </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Supports virtual field trips. </li></ul></ul>
    12. 12. Goal 6 <ul><li>Ensures all district personnel and parents will have access to proper hardware and software for financial and student management. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>1 Objective with 2 strategies listed. </li></ul></ul>

Goal 7 <ul><li>The District will improve communication with parents, teachers, and support staff through updated technology. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>District will continually update eChalk so parents can monitor student progress, view classroom lesson plans, and maintain good communication with teachers. </li></ul></ul>

Goal 8 <ul><li>The District will increase efficiency and improve operating cost through use of technology. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>1 objective with several strategies listed. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Goal covers purchasing better surveillance systems for buses, schools, and offices. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Moving files to online archiving instead of paper filing. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Updated inventory tracking software. </li></ul></ul></ul>

Technology Plan Summary <ul><li>Ensures teachers increasingly use technology in the classroom and have financial and training support to do so. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensures parents are able to monitor students progress and communicate with teachers through the use of more advanced technologies </li></ul><ul><li>Ensures that the proper training is in place for teachers, staff, and parents to utilize technologies. </li></ul><ul><li>Provides summary of budgets to support Technology Plan. </li></ul>
