Overview <ul><li>My name is Roxina Filrang </li></ul><ul><li>I started school in 1983 in Kosrae </li></ul><ul><li>I graduated from high school in 2001 in Hawaii </li></ul><ul><li>I first went to college at University of Hawaii in 2001 </li></ul><ul><li>When I finish my degree, I hope to become an instructional designer in public health education </li></ul>
  3. 3. What is educational technology? <ul><li>I think educational technology can be defined as a tool or sets of tools that assist learning through the process of creation, assessment and reflection—with a dash of creativity and collaboration, of course. </li></ul>

  9. 9. A technology I would like to see in my classroom <ul><li>Kindle ereader is a great tool to motivate and enhance reading comprehension. </li></ul><ul><li>Text-to-speech feature for vision-challenged and ESL learners. </li></ul>
  10. 10. My vision of the future classroom <ul><li>I envision students of all ages learning in outdoor environments, with the use of assistive learning tools. The outside world can become classrooms without walls. </li></ul>
