  • 1. Discuss the main social justice issue theagency addresses in the local context. The main social justice issue that Angels of Grace addresses is defending the rights of the children and finding them a safe, welcoming, loving home where they will thrive.
  • 2. Present the organizational structureof the agency Angels of Grace falls under the umbrella of what the child welfare system is. The organizational structure goes as follows: State of California Human Services Fresno County Child Welfare System Foster Care Agency County Social Worker Agency Social Worker Foster Children and Foster Parents
  • 3. Present the community context of theagency The community that Angels of Grace serves is the foster families, and foster children. The agency represents this community because it works closely with the foster parents and foster children by providing parenting classes, support, both emotional and financial; such as referring families to different agencies that can offer therapy sessions, counseling, support groups, and programs for the children.
  • 4. Discuss specific populations-at-riskwhose needs the agency addresses The at risk population that Angels of Grace serves is foster children. Foster children are children who have been removed from their biological parents due to abuse or neglect. In order for the children to qualify to be part of the agency they must be foster children under the age of 18 who need a safe and loving home to stay in without time restrictions of how long they are allowed to stay in the home.

Analyze the agency’s mission andaims The mission of Angels of Grace is to create an environment that will enhance the lives of the children by offering a home with stability and nurturing growth. The main aim of the agency is to nurture and protect the children by respecting and protecting the mind, body, spirit, and culture of the child.
  • 6.   • 7. Other programs Angels of Grace also offers the Safe Haven Home. Safe Haven is a transition home where girls, who have emancipated from the foster care system, can transition into a safe environment and learn to become independent and self sufficient.
  • 8. Other programs…. Angels of Grace also has another program called the Homeless Prevention Program. This program is income-based, and it provides short term rental assistance, rental subside, to help prevent homelessness.
  • 9. Conclusion In conclusion, Angels of Grace is a Foster Family Agency whose main priorities are the safety and well being of the children in the foster care community.
