17. 29. Imaging - WIM

The Windows Imaging Format ( WIM ) is a file-based disk image format. 18. 30. Imaging - WIM

In a nutshell, you can think of a WIM file as a CAB file . The key difference between a WIM file and a CAB file is that, in addition to capturing and compressing the file itself, a WIM image stores metadata that applies to the files and directories that make up the volume captured in a given volume image.

PACKAGING EVENT 2008 - PARTNER SPONSORING
