busy Christmas retailing period. Well
that is precisely the titanic task undertaken for the last 7 years by London

In order to satisfy the collective needs of over 650 individual store managers in
the UK and Ireland, this family run agency has to start on its preliminary concepts
as early as February. As the year progresses, the campaign’s team have to
design and distribute in-store posters, website content, local press
advertisements, fliers, postcards, viral emails and, last but not least, 1 million
application forms.
As you can imagine, there is no shortage of similar seasonal jobs in the pre
Christmas run – up so competition for the right type of candidates is always
fierce. It is the recruitment advertising agency’s challenge to ensure that Argos
get a large enough response from suitable candidates to attract the right number
of applicants with the appropriate qualities.
The fact that this is now the agency’s 7th consecutive year on the case suggests
that it manages to come up with something fresh and effective every time.
If it sounds as though all this must take up an awful lot of the agency’s resources,
suffice it to say that it still has ample capacity to provide recruitment advertising
solutions to other heavyweight clients such as H & M, Bank of America, Yachts of
Seabourn (Carnival) and the Civil Aviation Authority.
