Copyright-
Copyright protects individual property which you have
created as long as some skill and/or work was put into
making it.
The author of the copyright is usually the creator if the
IP, it requires no paper work, nor any submission, once
it has been created and backed up with times and
dates of creation and development it is under your
copyright.
Trademark-
The distinguishing of goods or services of a trader,
usually associated with names
Trade Marks are registered for specific goods or
services within individual subjects.
2. Patent-
An right from the government which shows that for a
limited time, other companies, people and brands
cannot use this item that has been patented, passing
on this right is possible, as is selling rights to use the
named item within another company.
A UK patent will only give the holder rights in the UK
and rights to stop others from importing the patented
products into the UK.
Registered Designs-
Registered Designs are for the eye appeal of an object.
Britain also has a ‘Design Right’ providing automatic
protection for 15 years from the date of creation, even
when a registered design is not applied for.
