  • 1. Culture
    Australia’s links with other countries
  • 2. Definition
the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as excellent in arts, letters, manners, scholarly pursuits, etc.
  • 3. Who do we have cultural links with?
Australia’s original cultural link was with the UK, as many people from Britain and surrounding areas immigrated to Australia and brought their culture with them.
Australia has links with many other countries now such as most of the Asian countries and, Europe because many people have migrated here from those parts of the world.
  • 4. Food
Food is a big link that has been shared between many countries and has brought countries closer. Everyone these days cooks spaghetti bolognaise for dinner every now and then and pasta which are all from Europe.

  • 6. Dance
Different styles of dance have developed in Australia through cultural links. Dance shows ways of communicating, emotion and fun.
  • 7. Dance
  • 8. Language
Many people in Australia are learning another language for fun and for work. Australia has links with countries who learn English as their 2nd language for communication purposes.
  • 9. Language
  • 10. Anything bad
Australia is becoming quite populated with many people from other countries as they are fleeing to Australia for refuge, this is already becoming a problem as eventually there will not be enough room here. At least countries know Australia is a safe place for refuge.
Some people in Australia don't like other cultures coming to Australia as they do things differently and that can scare people or make them feel not sercure or safe.
  • 11. We do we get out of having links?
We are able to communicate with countries which we associate with. Cultural links are a necessity to have with these other cultures as all other links such as trade, aid etc would not function well without it.
