2. 2. Aitor Melchor García These are two photographs of the most important companies in Asturias. Asturias has lost important companies and if things don’t change there will be no companies in the near future.
 3. 3.

Asturias has always been an agricultural, livestock farming and fishing region. It was also and industrial place, the fourth in importance in Spain, due to the production of coal and metal but some year ago this came to and end and now it has got some tecnological firms. As it’s cheaper to produce abroad most of the companies are setting up in other countries such as China, Morocco, Mexico, etc. Which is causing an economical crisis in our country and therefore lots of students who get their university degrees have to go abroad to be able to get a suitable job.

 4. 4. For centuries the backbone of the Asturian economy was agriculture, and fishing. The then state-owned ENSIDESA steel company is now part of the privatised Aceralia, now part of the ARCELOR Group. Pablo Pastur

 6. 6.

I think that Asturias has an important industry for Spain. Firs Asturias wasn’t very important in the economy but now it is very importamt because it produces a lot of work and money.

 7. 7. ALBERTO PÉREZ ALONSO DURO FELGUERA Duro Felguera was created by Pedro Duro Benito in 1858. It is dedicated to the metallurgical production and the coal extraction.
 8. 8.

The metallurgical industry of The Felguera caused an urban and demographic revolution that took form in: La Felguera.

La Felguera was created because Duro made its industry near so all the workers that worked in industry created La Felguera to live there.

 9. 9.

In 1868 they entrusted him the production of rails for the railroad of Northwest, which provoked the installation of a workshop of rails.

Duro transfered his patrimony to the public company Hulleras of the North.

Since then, Duro Felguera devoted itself specifically to the production of capital goods.

 10. 10. Mario

Globalization is the increasing integration into a single global capitalist market.

Globalization is defended by neoliberalism embodied in international bodies WTO, IMF and WB and is rejected by anti-globalization groups.

It is questionable to link globalization with an extra dimension-economic (human) .But to do so would cover issues such as global climate change, cultural imperialism against.
