  • 1. The Man with the Golden Gun and the Astro-Spiral Jump by Cristina G. 
  • 2. Aim and Hypothesis 
      • This is a interdisciplinary project where we are using physic and math in order to prove whether the jump made in the video was actually possible or whether it was a result of camera trickery, using a video of a jump. 
      • In my opinion the video is fake. 
      • I do not really think that the velocity in which the car was in the take of was enough (40 mph or 17 meters per second) specially to make a 360º jump in a car at a distance of 15.86m.

  • 4. Variables
      • The speed 40 mph or 17.888888 meters per second. 
      • The car AMC Hornet with some modifications (lower stance and larger wheel)
      • The mass 1,460.06 kg (car + person)
      • The angle of take off 30º degree
      • The distance traveled   15.86 meters.  
  • 5. Materials 
      • The internet. 
      • Online Protractor.
      • The sheet that Ms. gave us. 
      •   The program called "Paint"
      • Screen Shot. 
      • Computer. 
      • Calculator.
  • 6. Procedure
      • I went to YouTube and look for videos of James Bond's movies. I find this video and choose it. 
      • Before doing anything I saw the video and made a hypothesis and a Aim, so I could be focus on one thing, in my case proving the jump was fake. 
      • The I started to make research about the mass of the car, how fast the car was going, the angel of the rap, the distance between the two ramps and more. 
      •   Fianlly after getting all the info and making the calculations using the sheet. I came with a presentation and a conclusion.

      • The video is real... 
      •   Although in my calculation is show that the distance should be a lot more than the actual it is actually possible since before doing the jump there were several tries and studies in order to make the calculations. 
      •   According to my calculations the car went pretty hing during the jump. 
      •   There is also a original tape made before editing the movie in which it proves that the jump actually happen and they did it just once. 
      • Also the deepness of the ramp is high enough for the car to go high and have time to make the spiral jump, and the velocity wasn't fast but since the ramp was high was enough.

  • 11. Evaluation
      • I may have done many mistakes when I was doing my calculations.
      •   There could have been some human error when I was calculating the angel and also accounting the time. 
      •   I think this project was very interesting and I learn a lot. 
      • Although I got some trouble in the data calculations. 
      • My calculation make sense to me although I had a little bit of difficulties to understated it and do in it.
