1900 - 1914: escenarios para una guerra continental:
 Nueva noción de nación-estado
 Sentimientos nacionalistas
 Crecimiento de la milicia

5. • La expansión colonial. Se manifiesta la rivalidad entre las
potencias colonizadoras: Gran Bretaña, Francia, Alemania,
Italia, Austria.
• Esto motiva que los artistas busquen fuentes de inspiración
en mundos exóticos y no puedan definir un estilo concreto.

cambio en la estructura social. El auge de los movimientos
obreros y el avance de las ideas socialistas culminará con la

9. • La Primera Guerra Mundial (1914-1918) pondrá de
manifiesto la crisis sociopolítica y cultural de Europa, así como
las contradicciones en el campo de la representación artística.
• La Gran Guerra duró 4 años causando la muerte de 8 millones
de personas., toda la generación nacida en 1880.
• Fue la primera guerra industrial, con incontables avances
tecnológicos, producción en masa y una movilización general
de recursos humanos, económicos y mecánicos.

su propaganda en contra del nazismo y Hitler y eso
influyó en todas las manifestaciones de arte, tal y
como lo muestran los Estudios Disney, donde el
villano era alemán y el nacionalismo americano estaba
muy presente.
