The definition of argument is when both people believe their side is true so they have an oral disagreement. I chose this photo because in sports there are often arguments between referees and players over the call the ref makes which is what’s going on in this picture. Both people think they are right about the play so they argue.
    • This photo represents proposition because it shows that someone who made these blue prints was proposing to make this vehicle.

    • Oppose/opposition
I chose this photo for oppose because it shows someone going against traffic and oppose means to go against.

    • Imperative
      http://www.mxtrainingblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/breathing_for_dummies-729387-237x300.gif
I chose this photo of the cover “Breathing for Dummies” because breathing is imperative to keep our bodies going. Imperative means it is required or you need to do it.
    • Assert means to declare something is true . When someone is writing a true story they are declaring that the story is true.

    • Detrimental means something that can harm or injure someone. Smoking is a common detrimental act that people think about because it is very bad for your health.

    • I chose this photo of a child screaming because a common generalization people make about young children is that they are loud and boisterous.

    • Ambiguous means that something is not clear or is too vague. This picture is ambiguous because it is not clear since you may see different images depending upon how you look at it. It might be a young lady or an old lady. The ear of the young lady is the eye of the old lady.

    • Globalization means to organize something that involves the whole world. I chose this photo because it shows a globe being held up by many cultures. For me when I see this picture I think of people around the world, teaming up to help the earth. This picture shows a group of people in the process of globalization.
