To find out how different size ice cubes affect the water levels .
The bigger the ice cube the more the water levels rise.
1 cup ice½ cup ice¼ cup iceMeasuring cup4 milk bottles
1.Freeze water in the measured cups.2.Release the ice from the containers.3. Place one ice cube in each container.4. Place 600mL water in each container.5. Draw a line where the water level is.6.Wait until ice is melted.7.When ice is melted pour water back intomeasuring jug to see if water level haschanged8. Record results.
Water levels start from 600ml
My experiment is related to humanintervention because humans have causedtemperature climates to increase which iscausing ice bergs to melt.
I first predicted that the height and amount of waterwould change. Soon after I had done the experimentthe results was different to what I predicted. The resultwas that the height of the water never changed but theamount did. I then realized that the mass of the icecube was already in the water and the mass was thesame would stay the same after it melted
I think I have done well with my presentation but Ithink I should have had more information.
