    1. 1. Impressiv e
    2. 2. Impressiv e By Mrday Ramesh
    3. 3. Aim:
    4. 4. Aim:• My Aim for the project was that to find out the most effective insulation for trapping heat and to save energy as a house with poor insulation will have to use more electricity to warm their house than a person with a well insulated house.
    5. 5. Hypothesis
    6. 6. Hypothesis• My Hypothesis was that I thought that the Pink Batts will be best and the others will struggle at doing 1 but will be good at the other because in my opinion the only thing that is good at trapping heat in is something thick.
    7. 7. Equipment Needed:
    8. 8. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers
    9. 9. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers• 4 thermometers
    10. 10. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers• 4 thermometers• 1 stopwatch
    11. 11. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers• 4 thermometers• 1 stopwatch• Enough cold water to fill 4 containers
    12. 12. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers• 4 thermometers• 1 stopwatch• Enough cold water to fill 4 containers • Enough sponge to cover lid
    13. 13. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers• 4 thermometers• 1 stopwatch• Enough cold water to fill 4 containers • Enough sponge to cover lid• 2 layers of tin foil to cover the lid
    14. 14. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers• 4 thermometers• 1 stopwatch• Enough cold water to fill 4 containers • Enough sponge to cover lid• 2 layers of tin foil to cover the lid• Some strong glue ( PVA )
    15. 15. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers• 4 thermometers• 1 stopwatch• Enough cold water to fill 4 containers • Enough sponge to cover lid• 2 layers of tin foil to cover the lid• Some strong glue ( PVA )• Pink Batts to cover lid
    16. 16. Equipment Needed:• Enough hot water to fill 4 containers• 4 thermometers• 1 stopwatch• Enough cold water to fill 4 containers • Enough sponge to cover lid• 2 layers of tin foil to cover the lid• Some strong glue ( PVA )• Pink Batts to cover lid • 2 ice cream containers
    17. 17. Method
    18. 18. Method1. Drill a thermometer size hole in the top of both containers.
    19. 19. Method1. Drill a thermometer size hole in the top of both containers.2. Fill all the containers with the hot water.
    20. 20. Method1. Drill a thermometer size hole in the top of both containers.2. Fill all the containers with the hot water.3. Take the lid off the 4 containers and stick the insulation on the bottom of the lid.
    21. 21. Method1. Drill a thermometer size hole in the top of both containers.2. Fill all the containers with the hot water.3. Take the lid off the 4 containers and stick the insulation on the bottom of the lid.4. Pour the water in each container.
    22. 22. Method1. Drill a thermometer size hole in the top of both containers.2. Fill all the containers with the hot water.3. Take the lid off the 4 containers and stick the insulation on the bottom of the lid.4. Pour the water in each container.5. Put the thermometer in the hole.
    23. 23. Method1. Drill a thermometer size hole in the top of both containers.2. Fill all the containers with the hot water.3. Take the lid off the 4 containers and stick the insulation on the bottom of the lid.4. Pour the water in each container.5. Put the thermometer in the hole.6. Start taking observations and record them.

Take the lid off the 4 containers and stick the insulation on the bottom of the lid.4. Pour the water in each container.5. Put the thermometer in the hole.6. Start taking observations and record them.7. Repeat Steps 2-6 except that for the 2nd step after you have done the hot water and the second time you will have to do the
    25. 25. Application
    26. 26. Application• An application is how this experiment will help in real life and if the experiment even matters.
    27. 27. Application• An application is how this experiment will help in real life and if the experiment even matters.• It will help in real life when you need to choose what insulation is better for not only you, but the earth and you can also compare whats better for keeping hot air in and keeping cool air in. So from this experiment it seems that Pink Batts would be a good insulator.

So from this experiment it seems that Pink Batts would be a good insulator.• The way this experiment is related to the unit of Sharing the Planet is if you don’t have a well

    39. 39. ConclusionIn my conclusion I think that all was achieved andthat we have found out what a terrific insulatorPink Batts really is and also that in a way is betterfor the earth.

Weird?
