The vessel, a creation of Created French designer Philippe Starck, is owned by Andrey Melnichenko, a 36-year-old Russian billionaire industrialist.
  • 2. Maison de L'Amitié Price Tag: $95,000,000 An aerial view of Donald Trump's former home, a modest 60,000-square-foot property in Palm Beach, Florida. It was recently sold to Russian fertilizer oligarch, Dmitry Rybolovlev.
  • 3. Triptych Price Tag: $86,000,000 The three-panel masterpiece by British artist Francis Bacon's was auctioned off after three bidders vied for it at an auction in New York, breaking a contemporary art auction record.
  • 4. 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder Price Tag: $10,900,000 The vintage convertible, formerly owned by actor James Coburn, was sold to popular British radio host, Chris Evans. It broke the previous record for the highest amount paid at a car auction.
  • 5. The Eaton Diamond Price Tag: $46,000 The 'World's Most Expensive Shirt' was launched to celebrate the 80th birthday of Eton Shirts Ltd. The Eaton diamond has seven colored diamonds that adorn the shirt studs and cufflinks.
  • 6. The Burger Price Tag: $200 A man poses with the world's most expensive burger at a Burger King in London, England. The ingredients include Wagyu Beef, White Truffle, Iranian Saffron & white truffle dusted bun, Pata Negra Slices, Cristal Champagne onion Straws, 25-year-old Balsamic vinegar, Lambs lettuce, Pink Himalayan rock salt, and Hollandaise shallot mayonnaise.
  • 7. Densuke Black Watermelon Price Tag: $6,100 A black Densuke watermelon grown only in Japan's northern island of Hokkaido is on sale at Isetan, a department store in Tokyo. A 17-pound was sold at record price to a marine products dealer who wanted to support local agriculture.
  • 8. 1935 Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 Pescara Spyder Price Tag: $1,098,447 A classic sports car, once owned by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, was bought by a private buyer - a record price for that model.
  • 9. Penthouse at The Arch Price Tag: $28,800,000 A Hong Kong luxury 5,497-square-foot flat in The Arch , is considered to be the most expensive apartment per square foot in Asia. The 80th floor penthouse boasts a private swimming pool and a jaw-dropping view of Victoria Harbour.
  • 10. Le Bassin aux Nympheas Price Tag: $80,400,000 Claude Monet's 'Le bassin aux nympheas' 1919 painting fetched a record for the artist's work. It is considered to be the most significant work from his water-lily series.
  • 11. Guarnerius del Gesu Violin Price Tag: $3,900,000 Violinist Pinchas Zuckerman holds a 250 year-old Guarnerius del Gesu violin, prior to a concert at the Pashkov House, Moscow. The violin, one of the most expensive musical instruments in the world, was recently purchased by Russia lawyer and entrepreneur Maxim Viktorov.
  • 12. Villa La Leopolda Price Tag: $500,000,000 One of several villas built by King Leopold of Belgium as a present for his mistress, La Leopolda was purchased by Roman Abramovich, owner of the football club London of Chelsea.
  • 13. 72.22 Carat Diamond Price Tag: $10,260,000 Sophie Jackson, a member of staff at Sotheby's in London, holds a 72.22-carat pear shaped D-color (finest white) flawless diamond that was auctioned off in Hong Kong.
