Instructions<br /> All done on Internet<br /> * Not PAPERLESS<br /><ul><li>Use Calculation sheet for fee calculation found in stapled pages and return with recharter to commissioner. </li></li></ul><li>Importance of Unit Inventory<br /><ul><li>All youth that have already paid should be listed.
  3. 3. Inactive youth should be called and asked if they will be continuing.
  4. 4. Invite inactive scouts back.
  5. 5. District volunteers call youth who do not re-register. They find many were not active at recharter time or contacted
  6. 6. Prepaid scouts that have not attended a meeting are waiting to hear from pack/troop with where and when they meet. </li></li></ul><li>MANDATORY THIS YEAR ALL<br />DIRECT CONTACT LEADERS WILL<br />HAVE TO COMPLETE ALL BASIC<br />TRAINING REQUIREMENTS FOR<br />THEIR POSITION TO RECHARTER <br />FOR THE 2012 PROGRAM. <br />

Things to Know Before You Start<br />Not totally paperless<br />Forms that need required signatures need to be printed and returned with payment. <br />Must have Microsoft Internet Explorer<br />All new youth & adults must submit an application.<br />Do not look for membership cards before the end of January<br />Do Not Pay the calculated amount from Internet, use the calculation sheet<br />Members already paid will be marked with R12, RB12, and B12. DO NOT REMOVE OR CHANGE THESE CODES<br />

  16. 16. Getting Started Continued<br />YOU MUST SELECT “LOAD COUNCIL INFORMATION.” <br />DO NOT USE THE “UPLOAD UMS FILE.”<br />If you select UMS file you will remove the codes causing you to pay for members already paid. <br />

Print recharter<br />F. After printing recharter, please indicate who the unit’s advancement and training chair are.<br />Write to the left of the appropriate name:<br />112 advancement chair<br />128 training chair<br />Use the calculations sheet in packet to figure amount due. <br />

Blue Ribbon Unit Program<br />REQUIREMENTS:<br />Be a Journey to Excellence Silver or Gold Unit. <br />Participate in Scout Show with a booth and $500 minimum in sales<br />FOS presentation at Blue & Gold or Court of Honor<br />Sell minimum of $500 in popcorn sales<br />Recharter completed and turned in on time. <br />

Blue Ribbon Continued<br />Unit is Blue Ribbon when completed all 6 requirements<br />Blue Ribbon pays for rank advancements for cubs and scouts<br />Any unit not a blue ribbon needs to pay for summertime pack award, world conservation, Emergency Preparedness, and National Den Awards<br />NOT INCLUDED: Merit Badges, activity pins, Badges of office and replacement badges<br />

Journey to Excellence<br />Filled out and returned with recharter<br />Signed by Cubmaster or Scoutmaster, Committee Chair and Commissioner<br />When recharter and everything turned in look at Journey to Excellence for next year for the requirements have changed and start planning on what you need to do to be a silver or gold unit. <br />
