  • 2. The United Nations COP15 Climate Change Conference Copenhagen, Denmark - December 2009 “ The most significant gathering on climate change since Kyoto in 1997” 18.000-24.000 people from 170 countries: Governmental representatives NGO's Companies Journalists Activists and many others.
  • 3. The Climate Mystery is an online learning universe running this autumn in conjunction with the UN’s global climate summit In September, a mysterious force will begin to threaten our planet. Through the Internet, kids all over the world will work together for 4 months - to solve the mystery and save the planet The concept
  • 4. An Online Learning Universe Entertaining and teaching 12-16 year olds about global climate challenges Licensing is free of charge School usage is free of charge An innovative online teaching universe combining (1) a serial story, (2) an online community and (3) learning games with (4) downloadable teaching materials The Climate Mystery will engage innovative students and teachers in both their school time and leisure time with exciting and relevant learning about the global climate challenges
  • 5. The Climate Mystery site will have 4 main sections and a separate learning platform As well as a number of external, fictional sites Ongoing story Learning games Social Network Learning platform Landing page A TV series for the You-Tube Generation

    • Climate disaster occurs (video clip)
    • Axel defines problem (assignment in forum)
    • Students gathers information on websites to solve assignment
    • Students post suggestions and discussions in forum
    • Axel sets up COP15 simulator to deal with the climate disaster
    • Students recreates climate disaster in the COP15 simulator
    Teachers can use materials from the teachers toolbox at any time during each week, for written assignments, quizzes and discussions
