For about 2 months now, I have had a BAD case of the fishy smell mainly after sex and my husband asked me to fix it LOL... It's horrible and I don't do antibiotics. SO I see very expensive pills for sale and some creams, it seems there should be a more realistic approach and cost friendly way for treating BV. So far I am considering taking a multivitamin that has probiotics in it along with acidolpholus (sp) sorry... and what I am not sure about is what to put inside considering peroxide or garlic oil from what I have read... maybe yogurt? Also I have an active sex life with my husband, so should I take a shower after sex at night and then do the treatments? Also don't want to sound retarded, but I didn't have a mom to teach me these things, I'm 29, should I not use soap inside? Since I have had this awful smell I have been washing like hell down there! Advise PLEASE my poor husband! It's so embarrassing... Thanks!
As you might already know, treating recurrent bacterial vaginosis is really difficult and if you have been having it for some time and trying to search on the internet to find some kind of help, then you might have come across questions like the one this poor lady is asking above.
This is only one of the thousands of sad recurrent BV stories you will read on the internet when you browse around the web, finding a cure for this condition. I have had this condition too, and treated it! I know exactly how it feels and how embarrassing this condition might be, that is why in this short article, I will try to give you some few recommendations that you can use to trytreating your recurrent bacterial vaginosis and I will also provide links to some great internet sites where you will find even more advanced help for your recurrent BV condition.
You don't want to put peroxide inside of you. It can irritate the skin. And soap is bad too. Best bet is to only use water while cleaning your vagina. And don't clean it inside - it cleans itself naturally. Putting foreign things inside can be a big cause for infections.
A lot of times, semen in the vagina can trigger BV. (It did for me). This is because semen is alkaline based and our vaginas are acidic. The semen disrupts the pH balance allowing for bad bacteria to overgrow.
Acidophilous creates peroxide naturally in your vagina. You'd be best off with a dosage of 2billion+. I've used this method in preventing BV - and it has worked quite well for me, personally.
If you get the tablets (not capsules filled - they are grainy your husband will get grainy stuff on his no-no spot) you can place them inside after sex and this should help a lot in preventing BV from developing.
A clove of garlic wrapped in cheese cloth with unwaxed dental floss tied to the end works too. Garlic kills fungus like in a yeast infection (which is often present alongside BV) and it has high antibacterial properties. You haven't tried plain yogurt yet? It also works well. Acidophilous is the active cultures that are found in yogurt.
There is also this very great bacterial vaginosis cure guide which helped me a lot when I was struggling with my recurrent BV. The guide I am talking about is called: Bacterial Vaginosis Freedom written by Elena Peterson. I have recommended this guide to so many friends, family members and loved ones who had problems with recurrent BV, and most of them totally cured their condition just by following the recommendations in this guide. I will advise any woman who is struggling with persistent, chronic and recurrent BV to get a copy of the Bacterial Vaginosis Freedom guide and follow the recommendations in it.
Click here: Bacterial Vaginosis Freedom, to read more about this guide and see how it has been helping thousands of women all over the world in curing their recurrent bacterial vaginosis.
