  3. 3. Taj Mahal • The first monument to be declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983. The monument is also known as the” jewel of Muslim architecture in India’. This is a beautiful white-marble mausoleum, which is located in the city of Agra. This structure stands on the banks of river Yamuna.
  4. 4. Fatehpur Sikri • This is also known as the Ghost Town. This was initially the capital of the Mughal Emperor Akbar for almost 10 years. The monument was declared a World Heritage Site in Uttar Pradesh. Several structures are located within its walls, some of these include Jama Masjid, Ranch Mahal ,Diwan-i-Kas , Daulat Khana are some of the main structures.
  5. 5. Agra Fort • The fort is located at a distance of 2.5 km north westwards of the Taj Mahal. The fort was also known as the walled city. This was initially a brick fort which was owned by Sikarwar Rajputs.
  6. 6. Humayun’s Tomb • This was India's First Charbagh Mausoleum. As the name suggests this is the tomb of Mughal emperor Humayun. This was originally constructed by his widow in 1569.
  7. 7. Qutub Minar • The tower has hold rich history of the Muslim rein in Delhi. It was built by Qutbu’d-Din Aibak in AD 1198. Qutb-Ud-Din Aibak was a Turkic King of Northwest India who was the first Sultan of Delhi. Later, Qutub Minar was repaired by Firoz Shah Tughluq (AD135188) and Sikandar Lodi (AD 1489-1517).
