  • 3. The Konkan Turtle Festival • The Konkan festival is held generally in the months of February-March, 2014. As the name suggests you will be able to see the newly hatched, endangered Olive Ridely turtles marching into the sea at the annual Turtle Festival One can get a flavor of the traditional Indian village life as you stop by at the local home stays in the close by area. • Source :
  • 4. Goa Carnival • People from all over the world come to celebrate the Goa carnival which is held in the lively state of Goa. This is a very colorful carnival, which originally started as a local feast held by the Portuguese in the 18th century. • Source :
  • 5. International Yoga Festival • The International Yoga Festival was held in 2013 from the 1st of March-till the 7th of March. Will be held from the 1st of March- 7th of March. Almost 400 people from 30 different countries came to attend this festival. This was known to be one of the largest yoga gatherings in the world. • Source :
  • 6. Paripally Gajamela • The Paripally Gajamela is a temple festival of Kerala in which one can see almost 50 highly decorated elephants. The elephants participate in a ritual offering to the temple goddess, by temple devotees, for prosperity. • Source :
  • 7. World Living Heritage Festival • This festival is organized by the Royal family of Mewar. They aim at promoting the cultural diversity of the Mewar region.. The festival consists of photo exhibition, food festival, arts and crafts workshops musical concerts, and technical conferences to discuss issues related to the preservation of Living Heritage. • Source :
  • 8. Chinakkathoor Pooram • The Chinakkathoor Pooram is an elephant pageant, which is held on the last day of the festival at the Sree Chinakkathoor Bhagavathy Temple. One can see 33 decorated elephants. The procession is held in the evening, and is accompanied by drumming and other traditional music. • Source :
  • 9. Thirunakkara Arattu • The Thirunakkara Arattu is a 10 day long popular temple festival of Kerala. One can see a procession of decorated elephants which are accompanied by drummers and other performers. The temple god which is to be bathed is carried out in this procession.   • 10. Jaipur Elephant festival • The Jaipur Elephant festival is celebrated in the city of Jaipur. The festival is celebrated on the eve of Holi every year, the Elephants are decorated and paraded around the city. One can also enjoy a game of Elephant polo. • Source :
