Newspaper organization A news agency is an association of journalists developed for delivering information regarding current news to news organizations: newspapers, magazines, and r adio and television broadcasters. Such an agency may also be referred to as a wire service, newswire, or news service.

  • 3. Editorial department This department is responsible for 1) Gathering the news 2) Shot listing news features 3) Editing the features shot listed The department includes not one but many editors responsible for different sections or regions. The editors include the photo editor, the design editor, the layout editor etc.
  • 4. Advertising department The advertising department is mainly responsible to look after the adverts that are placed in every newspaper edition .This department is very important in revenue generation aspect. The sector looks into classified adds, local adds, national adds, real estate adds, law
  • 5. Circulation department Getting the newspaper to different parts of the town ,country or in some cases even the world. This department has 3 Main responsibility 1) Selling the paper 2) Delivering it to retailers 3) Collecting data from subscribers
  • 6. Printing department This department takes into account the task of compiling the data into the newspaper format and then putting it on paper. The print would be of a slandered template with minor changes in each edition. Million of copies printed for each publication
  • 7. Administrative department The general administrative work comes under this department. The tasks include work allotment to staff, work force training, promotion, maintaining records managing other departments etc.
  • 8. Accounting department All financial responsibilities are under this sector. Keeping the record book ,maintaining balance sheet, budgeting, providing finance to all departments, calculating revenue expenses and profits.
  • 9. Store department This is the department which looks after the storage work. It maintains and keep a record of the stocks of raw material (paper, ink, stencils etc) and the finished good (the printed newspaper)
