  • AUTOCOMPLETE SUGGESTIONSTen suggestions are the default, but is configurable. Scrollthrough suggestions with your mouse, or use the arrow keys.Select a suggestion to view records that are linked to thissuggestion. This feature is not turned on by default.
  • COPY LOCATIONS GROUPSThe Copy Location Groups feature enables user s to search groups of copylocations. Librarians may want to group copy locations by audience or genre, forexample, to facilitate patron searches. Copy location groups may be comprisedof copy locations at a single branch or across a consor tium. These groupsappear to user s in the catalog’s org unit tree for easy searching.

  • FINE ACCRUAL ON CLOSED DATESBy default, fines accrue only on dates that the library is open. Thisfeature enables you to charge patrons fines on dates the library isclosed. Fines accrue during scheduled closings as well as duringnormal weekly closed dates.To enable this feature:1) Click Admin → Local Administration → Library Settings →Charge fines on overdue circulations when closed2) Click Edit.3) Set the value to True.4) Click Update Setting.

  • IMPROVED ACQUISITIONS NAVIGATIONIn Evergreen version 2.2, providers that you have permission toedit will sort to the top of the list ahead of providers that youhave permission only to view. In addition, you can search andfilter the displayed fields in the provider and fund interfaces.
  • LINE NUMBERS FOR DISPLAY SCREENSThis feature organizes screen displays by numbering lines on ascreen. You will find this feature on any screen that uses autogrid and on all xul lists. The red circle in the image belowprovides an example of a line number.

  • SMS TEXT MESSAGINGThe SMS Text Messaging feature enables users to receive holdnotices via text message. Users can opt -in to this holdnotification as their default setting for all holds, or they canreceive specific hold notifications via text message. Users canalso send call numbers and copy locations via text message.

  • TARGET COPIES AT CLOSED LIBRARIESBy default, when a patron places a hold on a title, the holdtargeter will search for copies to fill the hold only at circulatinglibraries that are open. Copies at closed libraries are not targetedto fill holds. When turned on, this feature enables Evergreen totarget copies that have closed circulating libraries to fill holds.

  • VANDELAY INTEGRATED W ACQUISITIONSThe Load MARC Order Record inter face enables you to add MARC records toselection lists and purchase order s and upload the records into the catalog. TheVandelay inter face enables you to create specific match points betweenincoming MARC records and exisiting catalog records. Combining these twofeatures enables you to track on order MARC records through the Acquisitionsinter face and to utilize the record matching mechanisms available in Vandelay.
