  • Feasibility - The state or degree of being easily or conveniently doneEnrollment in Distance learning (DL) courses has been growing steadily in the United States (U.S. Department of Education, 2011). At the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) the data indicates that online courses are also escalating. In order to keep up with this demand, faculties who can teach online are needed to teach these courses for students yearning to take DL courses. Accordingly, the roles and responsibilities of faculty at UTB are changing and UTB is in dire need of developing faculty who understands online pedagogy and who can effectively teach online. Online learning can be greatly enhanced if the technology and pedagogy to teach these courses is used effectively. This proposal advocates addressing the needs of developing online faculty at UTB.
