Workscope included,Subsea Clamp installation, dynamic riserpull-in and hang off assembly. Producttensioning at the Clair Platform. FOTAdeployment at Schiehallion FPSO.Eleven crossings to bridge. Recovery andsplicing of BU tails at the FT FO cableintersection. Trenching of the productutilises the CTC T1 Wheel CuttingTractor & ISU 150te Plough. Constructionvessel Maersk Advancer. Project Value£6.5million.

Designed forConstruction/Trenching roles.Development and implementation ofmany innovative systems enabling thevessel to be configured to meet thevarious project demands efficiently.Features included “Plug and play” systemphilosophy, modular container garage andhandling system, unique seafasteningsystem and control room. Specialist teamconsisted of eight persons. Reporting toupper management. Project Value £70m.Delivered April 2008.

Incorporated aunique sea fastening system allowingefficient mob/demob. Lay controlintegrated into the vessel DP system.“Plug and play” philosophy adopted forthe vessel integration.. Project Value£5m. Nov 06 – April 08CTC Marine Projects LtdSenior Project Manager/Designer: -Seafastening SystemPrimarily designed for the integration of a2500Te Carousel lay system on to theOCV Volantis, this unique seafasteningsystem allows for efficient mob/demob ofequipment on to vessels with norequirement for welding or burning ondeck. Mob/Demob times cut from 4 -5days to approx. 6hrs.

Project included route andboulder clearance, J Tube Gravity Basedesign/engineering, Pipeline Bridgeinstallation & system testing. The LoFSsystem included some 50km of productsimultaneously laid and trenched indifficult seabed conditions utilising theCTC T3 wheel cutter trenching system.Project Value £11.5m.

Sept – March 02Sonsub/Saipem.Lead Engineer: -WBRSTransferred within the Bluestream Projectto technically assess and manage theBluestream “Wet Buckle Repair System”(WBRS) redesign programme.Carried out technical assessment of theexisting WBRS system and initiatedredesign of key elements.Involved in preparation of the schedule,procurement, logistics and cost estimatesof the work.Mobilised the build site in Samsun,Turkey and finalised documentation to‘As Built’ status.Co-ordinated / managed the 8-weekrebuild phase of the equipment and FAT.Technical: -2300m depth ratedROV intervention system
