Student Teaching IN Nicaragua October – December 2006

The School Nicaragua Christian Academy is a small, private school serving grades K-12. The school is located on the outskirts of the capital city of Managua. The high school has approximately 80 students, most of whom are native Nicaraguans. The rest of the students come from American or South Korean missionary families. All students must speak fluent English in order to enroll in high school.

All students must speak fluent English in order to enroll in high school.

The school is open air, with each classroom opening directly to the outside. The “hallways” are sidewalks, or tile covered by an overhang. The building on the left is the “cafeteen” which serves breakfast and lunch, and sells other snacks.
