2010 06 20 7 may alam ako sa bible! Presentation Transcript

  • 1. May Alam ako sa Bible! Season 2-Week 3
  • 2. Questioning the king james version
  • 3. Anong isasagot mo dito?
    • Nakailang version na din yang 1611 KJV Bible niyo e. So bakit hindi din pwedeng gumawa ng bagong version? A, ano ka? Ha? ha?
    • Note: Did you know that the KJV had 4 other version? DI MO ALAM YUN ANO?
  • 4. Anong isasagot mo dito?
    • SO, anong version ng KJV ba talaga ang gamit mo? Yung 1611 pa din ba na pinagmamalaki ninyo ? Jeje!
    • Note: Smile ka lang pag tinanong ka nito. (may araw din siya)!
  • 5.
    • “ Various Editions of the 1611 A.V.”
Chillax ka lang. may solusyon yan :D
  • 6.
    • If someone decides to produce a “new Bible version,” then they must also convince Christians that there is a NEED and JUSTIFIABLE cause for the new version. And just because the 1611 A.V. had been revised several times since 1611, they make that as an excuse.
  • 7.
    • FACT: The many revisions that have occurred since 1881 bear NO RESEMBLANCE to the various editions of the KJV prior to 1881.
    • FACT: There were actually FOUR actual editions after 1611:
      • 1629
      • 1638
      • 1762
      • 1769
  • 8.
    • ALAM KO kung bakit, sir!
    • 1629 EDITION
    • This edition was simply an effort to correct printing errors, and two of the original KJ translators assisted in the work.
    1
  • 9.
    • ALAM KO din kung bakit, sir!
    • 1638 EDITION
    • Also dealt with printing errors, especially words and clauses overlooked by the printers. About 72% of the textual corrections in the KJV where done in 1638, only 27 years after its first printing.
    2
  • 10.
    • ALAM namin kung bakit, sir!
    • 1762 & 1769 EDITION
    • Two final editions that involved spelling changes since it was the same time when English language was stabilized and spelling rules were established.
3 4 Oo na alam niyo na!
  • 11. Think aBout this
    • Please bear in mind that printing was a laborious task prior to 1800. Publishing a flawless work was almost impossible. Even today with technology, we still get errors. Imagine what was it like in the 1600’s!
  • 12. Think aBout this
    • Remember that there were NO NEW TRANSLATIONS and REVISIONS in these 4 reprints. They are simply EDITIONS of the 1611 KJV, which corrected printing errors and spelling, a touch-up work of the printers. Those who try to equate these changes with the current versions are either deceitful or stupid-or both :P

  • 14. Think aBout this
    • The REAL revisions and translations does not start appearing until 1881 (RV) and 1901 (ASV).
  • 15. So, Anong isasagot mo dito?
    • Nakailang version na din yang 1611 KJV Bible niyo e. So bakit hindi din pwedeng gumawa ng bagong version?
Sige nga, pakisagot! “ ..okay, fine..”
  • 16. Anong isasagot mo dito?
