(or “when will I ever use this stuff?”) <ul><li>Mathematics is about using your brain in a way that is different than you use it for most other classes. </li></ul><ul><li>Problem solving is the number one skill set employers will be looking for as your son/daughter enters the work force, regardless of their field. </li></ul><ul><li>A rigorous study in mathematics is critical to acceptance into most colleges. </li></ul>

  5. 5. Continuing Algebra <ul><li>For students who need continued work on their Algebra skills; </li></ul><ul><li>Students will graduate with Advanced Algebra (College Algebra) or Pre Calculus; </li></ul><ul><li>Calculator: Scientific or TI NSpire. </li></ul>

Kansas Board of Regents Entrance Requirements for Kansas State Schools <ul><li>Graduate High School with… </li></ul><ul><li>3 math credits (Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II or higher) AND score a 22 (or higher) on the ACT. </li></ul><ul><li>OR </li></ul><ul><li>4 math credits (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and one class where Algebra II is a prerequisite) </li></ul>
