  • Green Poem Anthology

    1. 1. TYPES OF GREEN By Karina H.
    2. 2. By Anna Fischer http://www.flickr.com/photos/27594459@N04/5226907689/ Lime It has juice squirting out Out of it’s limey spout! Seeming like it’s going to Blind you! Bind you with it’s power.Over all types of green I know, I favor lime the most. Why?
    3. 3. Reflection for LimeThis poem came to me so naturally. I think it came tome like this because I really loved the color that I waswriting about, and I had lots of words to describe itwith, and many ways to picture it.The tools I used to write this poem were : Rhyme, metaphor, heart, and 6 room image poem.
    4. 4. Dark Dark green is A damp, weary forest. The green branches Are rough, like a quest But it sure isn’t the best When its a Dense, blackish green sheen. Because I’ve heard people went in, But never again were seen!By: Fred http://www.flickr.com/photos/78415063@N00/5062175008/
    5. 5. Reflection for DarkThis poem was a bit hard to write because I reallywanted to make it rhyme but it was hard to find goodrhyming words for this topic. The tools I used for this poem were : Metaphor, 6room image poem, simile, heart
    6. 6. ForestThis type of green is like a pine tree waving it’s branches in the wind. You are pinnedin place, listening, and swaying to the rhythm of the forest-like greenness.
    7. 7. Reflection for ForestThis poem was quite easy because I took bits andpieces of the Dark poem and it had the same idea asthe Dark poem so it was pretty easy for me to write, considering the Dark poem. If I hadn’t had the Darkpoem to copy parts from, though, I would’ve had a hardtime writing this one.The tools I used for this poem were : Rhyme, heart, personification, 6 room image poem.
    8. 8. Neon Bright like a light is neon green. Oh! So much Neon green has sheen. Blinking Winking Sinking Shrinking in the cominglight of the day.
    9. 9. Reflection for NeonThis poem was similar to the Lime poem because thisis probably my 2nd favorite color, so I had the samepath for this poem. The tools I used for this poem were : Simile, rhyme, heart, repetition, and personification
    10. 10. Leaf Veins in the leaf are shining. Colors in the leaf are perplexing, Twisty, swirly and blinding. Turning, turning, perplexing you. They are blacking out your senses, forcing you not to hear a sound. They are telling you things in your mind. Like a comforting voice. As the color churns in your head you keep thinking About the way you saw that amazing, natural green.
    11. 11. Reflection for LeafThis poem was hard to write because I wanted to writea long poem, so that was a challenge for me, because Iusually write poems of average length. The tools I used were : Heart, rhyme, personification, simile, repetition.
    12. 12. LIGHT HT, T, LIG HT! RIGH O FIG Y, B OT T SUNN OU N REEN SY IT G IT BEG IT LIKES SUASIVE THE WAY S AS PER EN I UEEN. E SE ONLY TO B A S A Q E COMM IT I HAV , I ADM EEN SEEN N AND B NG O N. ENTI SHEE C OMM EN’S LIGH T GREHTTP://WWW.FLICKR.COM/PHOTOS/LINHNGAN/2715287035
    13. 13. Reflection for LightThis poem was really fun to write, because I enjoywriting poems that include a lot of rhyme. It’sinteresting to hear all the combinations. The tools I used for this poem were : Rhyme, simile, personification, metaphor.
    14. 14. Reflection on my Anthology The reason I chose this theme was because I really like the color green, so I had a lot of good words to describe the different types of green with! That enabled me to write great poems!
