  • 2. THOMAS PAIN •Thomas Pain was a writer, Patriot, and radical among many other things •Paine emigrated to the British American colonies in 1774 •His biggest contributions were in his writings Common Snense •In 1777, Paine became secretary of the Congressional Committee on Foreign Affairs

The CRISIS •The Crisis is a collection of articles written by Thomas Paine during the American Revolutionary War. •Thomas Pains words were so insightful that General George Washington had them read allowed to his troops at Valley Forge •He describes the tyranny of Great Britain and that Americans need to stand up and fight for their country •At the time he believed the colonies had waited to long to start the revolution •Thomas Paine’s writings can be best described as Patriotic
