HAGLUND’S DEFORMITY ( PUMP/ HUMP DEFORMITY) RETRO CALCANEAL RETROACHILLES BURSAE BURSAE  Tear drop shaped bursae  Acquired adventitious  Present along Posterior aspect bursae of the upper calcaneum .  Located posterior to distal  Little fluid is appreciated in the Achilles tendon . bursae if it is not inflammed.  Distension of bursae with fluid and inflammatory thickening of the synovium is sequael to bursitis .  Patient presents with heel pain  Chronic overuse / illfitting foot wear / inflammatory arthropathy .
