This is the networking technology.Basically we can understand HAN (Human Area Network) same as LAN as we transfer our data by lan cable or any other medium. Here we can transfer our data by using human body.

Red tecton

  1. 1. A Presentation On BYEr. Ritanshu Goel
  2. 2. Overview• Introduction• Working Principle• Human Area Network• Features• Applications• Intuitive Operations• Security• Conclusion
  3. 3. Red Tactono RedTacton is a technology developed by Japanese company NTT, which claims it can send data over the surface of the skin at speeds of up to 10Mbps -- equivalent to a fast broadband data connection.o RedTacton takes a different technical approach. Instead of relying on electromagnetic waves or light waves to carry data, RedTacton uses weak electric fields on the surface of the body as a transmission medium.o The name chosen for this technology is derived from “tacton” meaning “action triggered by touching” combined with red, which in Japanese culture is an auspicious color with connotations of warmth and love, to convey the cordiality and warmth of interpersonal communications.
  4. 4. Human area networks
  5. 5. Introduction• Technology is making many things easier.• Red Tacton is a new human area network technology.• It gives us safe and high speed network transmission.
  6. 6. Introduction Cont..• Def :- “Red Tacton is a new Human Area Networking technology that uses the surface of the human body as a safe, high speed network transmission path. Red Tacton uses the minute electric field emitted on the surface of the human body”.
  7. 7. Working Principle• Red Tacton relies upon the principle that the optical properties of an electro-optic crystal can vary according to the changes of a weak electric field.
  8. 8. Human Area Network• In addition to the WANs (Internet) and LANs, there are applications best served by Human Area Networks (HANs) that connect the last meter• Human society is entering an era of ubiquitous computing, where everything is networked
  9. 9. Human Area Network
  10. 10. Experiment on human body
  11. 11. Human SafetyThe transmitting and receiving electrodes of the RedTactontransceiver are completely covered with insulating film, so thebody of the person acting as the transmission medium iscompletely insulated. This makes it impossible for current toflow into a person’s body from the transceiver.When communication occurs , displacement current isgenerated by the electrons in the body because the body issubjected to minute electrical fields. However, suchdisplacement currents are very common everyday occurrencesto which we are all subjected.RedTacton conforms to the “Radio Frequency-Exposureprotection Standard (RCR STD-38)” issued by the Associationof Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB)
  12. 12. Features
  13. 13. TOUCH• Touching, gripping, sitting, walking, stepping and other human movements can be the triggers for unlocking or locking, starting or stopping equipment, or obtaining data
  14. 14. Continued… Touch
  15. 15. BROADBAND & INTERACTIVE• drivers can be downloaded instantly and execute programs can be sent. Communication speed can Device drivers can be deteriorate in crowded spaces downloaded instantly due to a lack of bandwidth and executable (wireless LAN) programs can be quickly sent.(RED TACTON)
  16. 16. BROADBAND & INTERACTIVE
  17. 17. ANY MEDIA• In addition to the human body, various conductors and dielectrics can be used as transmission media. Conductors and dielectrics may also be used in combination
  18. 18. PROTOTYPES
  19. 19. ApplicationsAN Alarm sounds automatically to avoidaccidental medicine ingestionTouch advertising and receive information
  20. 20. Applications JUST TOUCHING A PHONE MAKES IT YOUR OWN JUST SITTING IN THE SEAT TRIGGERS THE CAR TO LOAD ALL ITS PRESETS, JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE
  21. 21. Practical Application FirmoFirmo Kit is used as an alternative to short-rangewireless security card entrance/exit systems. NTT claimsFirmo provides a higher degree of security than othertechnologies.
  22. 22. Intuitive Operations Touch printer to print Instantaneous private network via personal handshake
  23. 23. Security Applications User verification and unlocking with just a touch
  24. 24. Why RedTacton• More secure than Bluetooth.• Superior than infrared technology.• Superior than Wi-Fi.
  25. 25. DrawbacksIt has no compelling applications that aren’talready available.Too costly.
  26. 26. Conclusion• We conclude that, when we compare Red Tacton with other technology present today it can give a better performance over others• And we can say that to connect the network with in short distances Red Tacton is best.• In this technology there is no problem of hackers as our body is itself a media.
  27. 27. Conclusion contd.. REDTACTON HUMAN AREA NETWORKS
