Group blog -written by several people, some inde (OracleAppsBlog- 100s of Oracle consultants & implementors share knowledge & experiences); others are strategic plans by mgmt & hosted in companies official websites (eg- Dell’s Linux blogs ran by Dell’s Linux experts) 3. Executive blog- create instant traffic; establish direct connection w/ stakeholders; Marc Cuban (NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, uses blog to communicate w/ fans) 4. Promotional blog- authenticity questioned when ad agency uses fake blog to create buzz around product, bloggers revolt: Dr Pepper/Seven Up’s Raging Cow blog, written by Cow mascot (7up hired young writers to promote new product), blogging community criticised strategy as deceptive & proposed boycott = gimmicks not tolerated in blogsphere 5. Newsletter blog - company news & product info to represent company’s position
