    • It is owned by Viacom and it was founded by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and David Geffen.
    • The starting letter of the founders surnames are used to form SKG.
    • It was founded in 1994.
    • It has over 10 films which have grossed over 100 million USD each.
  • 4. Kung Fu Panda
    • Kung Fu Panda is an animation film made in 2008 under hood of Dreamworks Studios.
    • It has grossed 632 million USD with a budget of 130 million USD making it a blockbuster film.
    • It is a critically acclaimed film with was nominated for the Academy Awards and the Golden Globe awards. It is also a 11 time Annie Award winning film.

    • It is depicted in China.
    • Based around Kung Fu which is a very important traditional and cultural aspect of China.
    • Central character is played by a panda, which is a very important animal in China.
    • Other animals in the movie are the tiger, monkey, snake, bird and mantis of which many are part of chinese folklore.
  • 6. Audience
    • The film is aimed at children approaching their teenage years as well as teenagers. This means the age group of around 10-16.
    • Voice overs are done by Jackie Chan, Jack Black and Angelina Jolie which the audience would have heard off generating star appeal for the film.
    • It is mainly a comedy film therefore making it appeal to children of this age because this seems to be the most common genre that appeals to this age group.
  • 7. Narrative
    • The narrative is based around a quest. This quest for the panda is learning kung fu (also childhood dream). He also takes on the quest of defeating the enemy and another character takes on the seemingly impossible quest of training the panda in kung fu.
    • It also portrays the panda as a saviour at the end of the film as he saves the valley from destruction and wrath.
    • The narrative is also based around self-realization and self-development because he realizes that he is capable of defeating the villain and he also develops his personality through the film, in the eyes of himself as well as other counterparts.
