    • Visualizations are representative examples of potential future scenarios, and are not intended to be used for floodplain management or planning purposes.
    • Based on tidal datum reference of Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW)
    • RI CRMC Policy on Sea Level Rise states “it is the Council’s policy to accommodate a base rate of expected 3 to 5 foot rise in sea level by 2100 in the siting, design, and implementation of public and private coastal activities and to insure proactive stewardship of coastal ecosystems under these changing conditions. (RI Coastal Resouces Management Plan, Section 145)

    • Recent studies projecting accelerated sea level suggest that by 2100 sea level in Rhode Island could rise approximately 2 to 5 feet .
