  2. 2. Preface<br />the national education functions are to develop the ability in forming character and civilization of a nation with dignity in the context of intelectual life of nation. <br />
  3. 3. National Character Building<br /> The character development can be done through education..<br /> Education should not only focus to meet the learners' cognitive aspects, but also affective aspect<br />
  4. 4. National Character Building<br /> Knowledge can be learned meanwhile the morals, attitudes, or behaviors is difficult to be formed<br /> responsibility, cooperation, discipline, commitment, confidence, honesty, respect other people's opinions, and the ability to control himself<br />
  5. 5. Educational Paradigm<br />must be returned to the philosophy of education which describes the real education should be able to prepare students to face all the changes, able to educate and humanize the students<br />
  6. 6. Education = Role of Educators<br />Ki Hajar Dewantara (Indonesia Education Father ) <br />Educators role are : <br />who can give an example <br />able to provide motivation <br />able to give encouragement<br />
  7. 7. Nation's intellectual life is one of the goals of nation and state of a country. Therefore, the state has an obligation to promote national education<br /> Environmental education must be formed from the smallest community, the family, and then moveto a larger community, thus forming a conducive learning environment<br />
  8. 8. Education Problem in Indonesia<br />the fundamental problem, namely errors educational paradigm that underlies the entire implementation of education system<br />
  9. 9. Branch Problems<br /> The problem must be completed thoroughly and together, not only by the government, but also by the general public, NGOs, and private sector must play a role to promote education in their country<br />
  10. 10. The Problems<br />Low Quality of Physical Facilities<br />Low Quality of Teachers<br />The Low of teacher welfare<br />Lack of Education Opportunity and Equity<br />low relevance of education with the workforce needs<br />The high cost for Quality Education Quality<br />
  11. 11. Recomendation<br />To realize a good education and be able to increase the quality of life of people who have problems in the education described above needs to be resolved<br />

Mass education funding which planned well in the government's annual budget<br />Improvement of qualification and certification of teachers and improve the quality of education teachers<br />Application of ICT for e-learning and e-administration<br />Improving the quality and competitiveness of education with a comprehensive approach<br />
  13. 13. Improving the equitable ratio between vocational school and common high school<br />Intensification and extensification of non-formal and informal education to reach these services on students who can not afford formal education<br />Strengthening (the) governance, accountability, and public image of education with a comprehensive approach.<br />

Suggestion<br />Education standard for ASEAN members, increase the level of university standard<br />University network for variative objection, such as :<br />e-journal and e-research<br />Student organization<br />Increase vocational school to provide workers and to develop people who not interest for continue the study to university<br />

Suggestion<br />Increase more opportunity for internship and student exchange <br />Intercultural dialogue, to make a unity in a various diversity of ASEAN culture<br />ASEAN student corps and voluntary for helping countries that had a natural disaster<br />ASEAN language centre, to know more about ASEAN members national language<br />
