  • •A nationwide restaurant chain, Smashburger recently announced that it would open 54 new eateries. The “better-burger” chain, which is known for its high-quality food, was founded in 2007 and is based in Denver. The company now has more than 250 locations in 30 states and several other countries, and it plans to grow to 400 restaurants in the next few years.
  • •Smashburger’s new restaurants will be located in five major cities. Almost 30 of the new locations will be in Atlanta, and the chain will open more restaurants in Orlando, Charlotte, Oakland, and Jacksonville through four franchise partners. The company also is looking to expand in Miami, Chicago, Seattle, and Canada. View slide
