    4. NE Ohioans spend over $14 billion dollars on food , yet less than 5% is locally grown .

          • 1,032,000 gallons of water
          • 6,024 lbs. limestone
          • 3,870 KWH of energy
          • 1,535 cubic feet of landfill space
          • 4,734 lbs. sulphur
      One Semester of Recycling…we are only just beginning!
      • Modernizing heating and air conditioning
      • each room and office now has a thermostat
      • fresh air is brought in to cool whenever possible
      • computer controlled systems to close entire floors or whole building when not in use
      Heating Costs and Energy Usage Reduced!

      • Use proven volunteer program to engage and educate thousands of Cleveland’s youth
      • Save city residents, particularly those of modest means, millions of dollars in electric bills
      • Reduce carbon emissions by millions of pounds
    9. Saint Martin Students getting prepped by founder, Andi Hoffman Only in its third year!!!
    10. Greenlight Cleveland
      • A way to engage Cleveland’s youth in an environmental movement
      • All high schools in the Cleveland area will be invited to form volunteer teams of at least two students and one adult
      • Each Saturday and over school vacations teams
      • would exchange CFL’s for incandescent bulbs
      • New Orleans model would be basis for Cleveland
      Goal to change out 200,000 bulbs! Potential environmental savings:  82 million pounds of CO2  75 million KWH   $9 million savings on electric bills (remember one main cause of poverty is lack of money!)

      • Core group of organizers and volunteers
      • Source of 200,000 CFL bulbs
        • NOLA uses a combination of corporate sponsorships, grants, and outright gifts
      • Media support
