My nephew Patrick was born 105 days early. He's over a year old, now. This is his story (a condensed version, anyway).

  • Dear Richard and family:

I am writing from Glasgow, Scotland on Feb. 08/08 as I opened up your page through a link on Slideshare. I am truly amazed that you have had only one previous comment in nine months. I hope you still check your page and read this.

My wife and I found each other in our forties (20 years ago), and I feel blessed that she saw enough good in me to marry me. We do not have any children, but we have many nieces and nephews from both sides now who bring us much happiness and pride.

We have had our ups and downs suffering with the children and parents of our extended families, but thank God, every child has pulled through.

Our hearts go out to you and the family, and our prayers are offered up for the soul of your little angel Adrian, who God really missed, and just wanted him sitting up there beside Him.

Not many people could undersrand the anguish and fear that you all have gone through, but I'm sure that one day you'll tell Patrick how it all began.

I usually log on to Slideshare on Friday nights, which gives my wife and I a couple of hours away from each other, and I know that there is no work for me in the morning.

For some reason or other I believe that you are living in the US (maybe it was the 20 years I spent in Canada), but of course I could be completely wrong.

However, I sincerely hope that you are still able to read these replies, and be reassured that although you didn't get a hundred replies, thousands of people still thought about you and the family, and prayed that the 'the wee man' would come throuigh.

Take care, folks, and I'll log on soon top see how you are doing.
