SAP CRM – DAM Integration Phase 1 Overview  Why it is needed.  SAP CRM 7 EHP1 provides Enterprise services used to integrate a third party DAM tool with SAP CRM.  DAM enhances the ability to manage and optimize the use of internal and external marketing materials such as product brochures, flyers, videos, and so on  CRM and DAM are coming together to achieve MRM  Where DAM is focussed on controlling everything around your content elements, where CRM tells you where it is most likely to find a customer, MRM links the two together and helps you to create, produce and distribute marketing material within time and within budget.   4. 4. Step 1. SAP CRM Digital Asset Assignment Block Digital Assets which are stored in a third party DAM tool can be assigned to products, marketing plans and campaigns.   7. 7. Step 4. Digital Asset Search - Results Results from the SAP DAM search are presented in thumbnail form in the SAP CRM search window along with basic metadata.   9. 9. Step 6. Digital Asset Search – Follow Versions A flag ensures that the link in the assignment block will always navigate to the highest version of the Digital Asset. If this flag is not be set the link will navigate to the version selected during the search, although there might be newer versions at a later point in time. © 2011 SAP AG. Selection/assignment to the SAP CRM Object Selecting the asset then closes the search window and assigns the link to the SAP CRM object showing the thumbnail and metadata as part of the object view. © 2011 SAP AG. Editing Digital Assets By clicking on the hyperlink in the column “Digital Asset Title” the external DAM- system is called and the authorised user can edit the selected asset directly on the external system (e.g. change title) © 2011 SAP AG. Viewing Digital Assets  Deleting Digital Assets in an assignment block just deletes the reference to the Digital Asset and not the asset itself  To make the changes visible to CRM immediately without refreshing the whole screen, the refresh button is needed © 2011 SAP AG. Where-Used List  Where-Used List is needed to search for all CRM Business Objects which are using a specific Digital Asset which means which have a specific Digital Asset assigned  After searching for the respective CRM Business Objects, it is possible to do further actions such as remove Digital Asset, assign new Digital Asset or replace Digital Asset © 2011 SAP AG.   16. 16. Where-Used List – Results After creating the Where-Used List, all CRM Business Objects which have the Digital Asset assigned, are displayed. The different objects are listed separately.
