A poem that I wrote a very long time ago. The topic is more valid today, I think.

Confusion - Poetic Thoughts IV

  1. 1. Confusion Hey, dear bird What are you trying to tell me? Sitting on my window-sill, Chirping your heart away. Are you, are you Trying to tell me, About far-away lands and forests, Filled with ever-green trees and water falls? Where you live Free and happy, with your kind. Or, of about Man’s cruelty to you? Of hurting your Feathery little bodies With stones and others. Or, his ignorance of you, As he bears this heavy load Called Life, every day. Though I’ve been listening to you For this past hour, I confess, I am still confused. Oh, are you flying away? Please, please come back And, talk to me again.
