Examine research-based factors related to student performance. 2. Determine beliefs 3. Develop a shared vision to focus on school improvement. 4. Determine expectations for student learning. 5. Describe students and their performance. 6. Describe school effectiveness. 7. Describe the school and community contexts. 8. Determine target areas for improvement. 9. Identify gaps between current and expected student performance. 10. Set improvement goals. 11. Determine Interventions. 12. Develop Action Plans 13. Implement, monitor, and adjust interventions. 14.     6. 2006 - 2007 Learning Goals
      • GOAL #1 - REGULAR, RETURNING SENIORS will score 1600 on the SAT II, 20 on the ACT and satisfactorily pass the THEA exam, unless SAT scores are high enough for exemption. In addition, they will acquire acceptance into a college or university.
      • GOAL #2 - HONORS, RETURNING SENIORS will score a minimum of 1800 on the SAT or 27 on the ACT.

    7. 2006 - 2007 Learning Goals
      • GOAL #3
      • REGULAR, RETURNING STUDENTS will show significant improvement in the degree of mastery in specific content and skills of core academic subjects by obtaining definitive, proficient levels of achievement on criterion reference performance assessments. Scores on norm-referenced assessments will improve and serve as an evaluative instrument for assisting students in identifying academic areas of advanced competency and identifying the academic areas of corrective need due to substandard performance.

      • GOAL #5 - ALL STUDENTS will be able to integrate knowledge and apply it to problems in the real world. They will improve interpersonal skills. They will acquire age-appropriate development of ethics and virtue, taking personal and social responsibility.

    26. 2006 - 2007 Learning Goals
      • GOAL #4: FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS who score below grade level, will demonstrate acquisition of grade level skills after the first year of enrollment. Those first-year students who are at grade level, or above, will demonstrate the same proficiency as the regular, returning students.

    27. 2006 - 2007 Learning Goals
      • GOAL #6: Maintain completion of the mission, as well as the positive gains that have been made toward implementing a rigorous and effective curriculum.
      • GOAL #7: Increase the number of all disaggregated groups, and overall student population. .
