    • Add “Press ‘0’ for assistance”

    • Your full name
    • Your title, department, or business
    • Telephone number
    • Reason for call
    • When you need a response
    • Best call back time, (remember time zones)
  • 4. Brief Messaging
    • Keep your message brief
    • Give all information needed
    • Get to the point (don’t make a story)
    • Review your message before leaving it
  • 5. Effective Message
    • Get to the purpose of your call
    • Put contact information up front as well
    • Don’t repeat what the system already knows
    • Avoid leaving message about many things
  • 6. What NOT to say
    • Don’t repeat yourself
    • Don’t use foul language
    • Don’t make the message long
    • Don’t use offbeat and humorous talking the whole message
