  2. 2. Our time is very limited so… <ul><li>We need to have rules. </li></ul><ul><li>I have a lot of fun activities planned and we want to make sure we have enough time to finish them. </li></ul>

Rule One <ul><li>Be nice to the Computers! </li></ul><ul><li>Clean hands </li></ul><ul><li>Don’t hit or bang on them </li></ul><ul><li>Be gentle with all equipment </li></ul><ul><li>Print with permission ONLY </li></ul><ul><li>Click PRINT once </li></ul><ul><li>Leave your area neat, clean, and organized </li></ul>
  4. 4. Rule Two <ul><li>Do NOT spin in your chair! </li></ul><ul><li>Sit up straight and tall, facing your monitor. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Rule Three <ul><li>Stay on approved websites </li></ul><ul><li>No email </li></ul><ul><li>No chatting </li></ul><ul><li>NEVER give out personal information </li></ul><ul><li>Don't share passwords with others </li></ul>Be Cyber Smart

When you come in the Lab <ul><li>Go directly to the carpet in front of my desk. </li></ul><ul><li>Pay close attention to instructions so we don’t waste any time. </li></ul><ul><li>When it’s time to move to the computers, go to the one that is assigned to you. </li></ul><ul><li>Sit quietly and be ready to get started. </li></ul>
  10. 10. If you have a question or a problem <ul><li>Flip the chart on the top of your monitor to yellow if you need help but can keep working or red if you need help right away. </li></ul><ul><li>Wait patiently and try to use your problem solving skills to figure out the problem. </li></ul>
  11. 11. At the end of class <ul><li>When you hear the bell – stop, look, & listen </li></ul><ul><li>Save Work/Exit Programs </li></ul><ul><li>Straighten Keyboard, Mouse, & headphones </li></ul><ul><li>Gather all materials and trash </li></ul><ul><li>Push in your chair and stand quietly behind it until dismissed. </li></ul>
  12. 12. Ready, Set, Go! <ul><li>It’s going to be a GREAT year </li></ul><ul><li>in the Computer Lab! </li></ul><ul><li>Let’s get started! </li></ul>
