    • A Vision of K-12 Students today: What the film says
      • Our education system does not mirror our world
      • Today's students are ‘digital learners’
      • How is the system holding students back?
    • How does the film say this?
      • Through text
      • Through the students
      • Through the information available
    • Good features of the film content:
      • Simple yet effective
      • Focus is on both student and teacher
    • Good features of film techniques
      • Extreme close ups to emphasize the point
      • Zooming in and out on certain aspects
      • Wide and medium shots to show the full effect
      • Lack of lighting
      • Lack of dialogue
      • Lack of camera angels
    • Areas for Development
      • Other mediums
      • Better use of film techniques
    • What I have learnt
      • On average a child will spend 3 ½ hrs gaming, 16 ½ hours watching television, 5 ½ hours on a computer, 5 hours listening to books on tape and barely 2 hours actually reading.
      • Students who are digital learners find it difficult to become engaged in traditional forms of learning and therefore struggle more with syllabus content.
    • What I have learnt Cont.
      • Film can be an effective media in all KLA’s so long as it is used appropriately
      • All technology has a purpose in education so long as the teacher knows how to use it effectively.
    • What will I take forward into my KLA?
      • PBL
      • Multimodal Interaction
      • Filmmaking
