    natural, physical, and human resources
  • 6. Let us examine how much we have in order to substantiate our claim that the Philippine is on the road to progress
  • 7. The Philippine is a rich country. It is well-endowed with natural resources which are the products and features of the Earth that support life and satisfy people’s needs

    This natural wealth plays an important part in the economy of the Philippines. The national government earns considerable income from forest operations, thus, the need to control forest exploitation.
    How does rapid population growth affect forest resources?

    1. Rapid denudation of Philippine forest.
    2. The destruction of watershed areas.
    3. The upland population has increased tremendously
  • 12. FISHERIES & AQUATIC
    RESOURCES
    The fishing industry is one of the most important industries in the country. The rich fishing grounds may be classified into 3 types: terrestrial, marine water, fresh water area.
    How valuable is our fishing industry to our economic growth?
  • 13. Problem of Fishing Industry
    1.Siltation has resulted in the death of fish and other marine life.
    2.Overfishing in the shallow coastal water depletes the fish resources in these areas .
    3.Illegal fishing practices.
    4. Pollution of fish habitat.
  • 14. HUMAN RESOURCES
    One of the factors that contributes to a country’s development. To say we are a rich country is a crude way of measuring our wealth.
    How does a young population with a high dependency ratio affect the resources of individual resources?

    1. Do we have a quality of population?
    2. Do we have a healthy population
    3. Do we have a literate population?
    4. Do we have a population or a labor force in particular, that possesses the qualifications that will enable it to compete in a global economy?

  • 17. PHYSICAL RESOURCES
    Physical resources are man-made structures, machines, and equipment which are intended to improve the productive capacity of the economy.
